University Rules Governing Student Organizations

Recognized student organizations should review and comply with the following rules and regulations governing student organizations.  了解更多信息, organizations should refer to the Executive Orders, University Administrative Procedures, and other policies referenced found in Section 6 of the Student Organization Handbook.

  • Regular voting membership in this student organization shall be open to all currently enrolled and continuing students of California State University, 洛杉矶. An organization or its membership may not discriminate on the basis of race, 宗教, 国家的起源, 种族, color, 年龄, 性别, 性别认同, 祖先, 婚姻状况, 公民身份, 政治面貌, 性取向, physical or mental disability, 医疗条件, 怀孕, 遗传信息, 退伍军人身份, or any other classification that precludes a person from consideration as an individual, except in cases of fraternity and sorority organizations which are exempt by federal law from 第九条 Regulations concerning discrimination on the basis of sex.   • All members of the organization are required to comply with University Procedures including but not limited to the Administrative Procedure 019-Alcoholic Bever年龄s, Standards for Student Conduct: Prohibition on Hazing, Interim CSU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation,  ICSUAM政策3141.01加州大学洛杉矶分校 Student Organization Funds Administration Policy and the University Rules Governing Student Organizations.”
  • All students of California State University, 洛杉矶 shall be eligible for membership. 教师, 工作人员, and alumni of 加州大学洛杉矶分校, as well as non-students may be considered for non-voting membership in this organization. Only currently enrolled or continuing students of 加州大学洛杉矶分校 may be voting members. (EO1068)
  • The following statement must appear verbatim on all constitutions, bylaws, and printed publicity:
    • “The actions and opinions of this organization do not necessarily reflect those of the students, 工作人员, 教师, or administration of California State University, 洛杉矶.” (宣传过程) 
  • Your organization and its members may not represent yourselves as, 或代表…行事, California State University, 洛杉矶, 学生, 学院或行政部门 (Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 41301[c]).
  • 学生组织 may not use official University letterhead stationery for organization correspondence (California State University, 洛杉矶 Administrative Procedure 004, section 7.0).
  • 根据… 加州大学洛杉矶分校's graphic and identity standards, organizations who wish to include the university’s name with the name of their organization must adhere to the following formula:
    • {Name of Organization} at California State University, 洛杉矶. 
    • Other variations that do not follow the required formula will not be approved. 
  • The possession and/or consumption of alcohol on 大学房地产 is strictly prohibited, except as stated in Administrative Procedure 019, “Use of Alcoholic Bever年龄s on Campus,” and the 加州大学洛杉矶分校 “Housing Facilities Regulations.”
  • Organization officers and members are financially responsible for any dam年龄 to, 或损失, 大学房地产.  (Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 41301[f]).
  • 学生组织 are required to comply with all appropriate Federal, state and local laws and ordinances as well as all University and Associated 学生, 公司., policies and procedures, which include the University Student Code of Conduct (第一条.1, Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 41301, et. Seq.).
